Python Job: Backend Developer (React, Python & .Net)

The role

The role of the Backend Developer is to be a technical expert and authority and use this knowledge to solve complex problems and create solutions, and to lead development on a single product with experience using React, Python & .Net.

As a Backend Developer, you will also be a proactive role model for exceeding targets and demonstrating exceptional behaviours.

Your days will be busy and varied in a fast-paced lead development role. Whether you are translating user requirements, writing high quality software or participating in code quality activities, you will be involved in all stages of the development lifecycle.

The person

First and foremost, you will be an experienced software developer with a passion for writing code of the highest quality. You will be used to designing and developing enterprise level software and have a broad and deep understanding of design patterns.

You will have excellent technical skills including essential knowledge and/or experience within:

• React, Python & .Net programming with a thorough understanding of common design philosophies
• Strong Java debugging and optimisation skills
• Spring Framework, Spring Boot and Spring Security
• Broad and deep understanding of design patterns
• SQL (PostgreSQL) and query optimisation
• SAML, OpenID connect and similar authentication protocols
• API design and implementation

Your considerable technical acumen will be complemented by your strong written, verbal and listening skills and your ability to plan and prioritise workload. You will display meticulous attention to detail and be comfortable working in a time pressured and deadline driven environment. You will also be used to coaching and mentoring others and have strong knowledge transfer and negotiation skills.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Salary: £700.00-£800.00 per week
